2.0TDI service advise

Post by vandyh »

Hi,

I do have a 2015 2.0TDI Jetta and its due for its 105,000km service.
My service plan stopped at 90,000km.

VW never changed the cam belt as the new service schedule indicates change on 120,000km, but they do recommend changing it on 90,000km (on the customers account of cause  )

I've been quote the following part:
1. FILTER (02E 308 051C) - Can buy this from Goldwagen?
2. CAM BELT KIT (03L 198 119F) - Expensive, but I will buy from VW
3. GEAR OIL (G 052 182A2) - Can buy this from Goldwagen? What oil spec is required? DSG
4. ENG. OIL (G 052 195M2) - Can buy this from Goldwagen? What oil spec is required? TDI
5. FOLTERELEM (03L 115 562) - Can buy this from Goldwagen?

Did I miss anything?
Do I need a VAG cable to set/reset the DSG/engine after servicing?
Any special tools for the cambel change.

I do have ElsaWin, but only unt to 2013.....

Hi

I had a 2013 Golf 7 2.0 TDI Highline.

I used everything from GW
The cam belt kit with roller from Goldwagen is a very high quality. It's not worth the extra cost through the dealer.

Tools need for the servies is the timing tool lock kit to lock the crank shaft high, pressure pump and cam shaft.

DSG Oil you can get if from GW Delray Motel DTC it's about R160.00 a Liter. You will need about 6l for the box.

DSG oil can be drained by using the measure system. Drain check how much came out and refill with the same amount through the oil filter housing.
Otherwise you need the filler tool, to fill the DSG box through the drain hole.

Engine needs to be 504/507 spec. Motel and Castrol have this spec. Speak to Wikus at GW Delray
Oil filter and diesel filter GW can supply.

Vag com is needed to reset the next service.

If you use the DSG oil filler tool you willl need the vag com the check the box temp to check the correct oil level through the drain plug.

You will also need a new engine sump plug and DSG drain plug washer.

Which DSG box is that. If dry clutch then no need for the oil change?. See your installation equipment list in the owners manual.
Or if it is a 7 speed box it is most likely dry cluth. Does not need an oil service like wet clutch boxes did.

Duck,
Thanks for the info. I'll rather buy OEM cambelt as this does not get changed often....
drain oil through oil filter, does this allows all oil to drain out of the box (mounded? on side, bottom?)

Panic,
This one is wet 6spd, agents changed oil last time
