2002 Jetta 4 Power & Fuel Issue

Post by denizen »

Hi Guys,

Apologies if i am posting in the wrong section (Mods - please feel free to move the thread if i am)

My work colleague drives a 2002 Jetta 4 1.6 who is experiencing an issue regarding his acceleration. He says that when the vehicle is at a stop, it holds back before accelerating. To me sounds like a coil related problem but any advice would be appreciated as usual

He also mentioned that the vehicle has a strong smell of fuel, even when hes standing outside the car. He says the car was serviced in December and all his fuel pipes were replaced.

Virtually impossible to say without seeing the car. If the coul was faulty it would missfire. Could be 100's of things including a faulty air flow meter or still a fuel leak.
