Hi All
I have just bought an 04 polo 1.9 tdi 74kw, it has 154 000km and requires a service, what parts would I require and what should I look out for?? Also, I noticed it has a slight oil leak on the drivers side by the front bumper, should I be worried????

Re: Polo Tdi service
My first suggestion is to check what work has been done on the car previously, at that age and mileage the cambelt and water pump should have been replaced. If these haven't been replaced I would add them to the normal service items like oil, filters sump plug and washer. I would give as much as possible a once over like brakes, suspension bushes, pipes, etc. while doing the service and do a fault code scan.

Re: Polo Tdi service
Do as Neuk said, i would just do a cambelt kit and regular service parts because i dont trust other people who sell cars..Raelin wrote:Hi All

The leak "could" be from a leaking boostpipe/intercooler or a leaking fuel filter.

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on
