Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI diagnostic

Post by jmvangreunen »

Hi

I had my cat diagnostic last night the diagnostig gave me the following fault

P029900 boost pressure control below control level
P261A00 coolent circulation pump 2 open circuit
P261B00 Coolent circulation pump 2 siganl improbable

Do any know the reasons for these codes and how to fix then as the car keeps on going in to limp mode with the flow plug light flishing and not boosting as it should

Thanks

what kind of cat is that? Tabby, egyptian, sphynx , siamese, persian, ragdoll?
I think it will be helpful if you give more detail of your cat.
If car - then something is causing either a boost leak or the turbo is not good or there is a controller/vacuum issue.
If that engine has an after run pump then that is what the other issue is. It is either dead or unplugged.

Replace electric coolant pump. Common issue on these motors.

Hi there,

I've sent my car in for a service, same fault code they've replaced mine with Goldwagen's electric coolant pump and a few months later (3/4) same thing occurs...

Any alternative suggestions?

Michael

My suggestion is that you replace mass air flow and boost pressure sensors and the coolant temperature sensor.

I had the same problem and thought of giving all the attention and the car is fine. DTC were P0299, P0113
