VW Jetta 1.6 TDI - Catalytic Converter issue

Post by francoispg »

Hi,

What is the best way to have a Catalytic Converter issue fixed?

I have a 2013 VW Jetta 1.6 TDI automatic, and I was told by the dealership that I didn't drive the car "far" enough and that is why it gave in. They also said that to have this fixed, I will have to replace the whole exhaust system, which will be costly when done through VW.

The car is currently in limp-mode, I can drive, but when I reach revs of 3000, I sometimes have to manually switch to a higher gear.

Any advice on how to have this fixed, inexpensive.

Thank you.
