Annoying Aircon Problem

Post by Incognito_TDI »

Hi Guys

Hoping someone can help or provide some insight into this problem, i have had my Polo TDi for about a year now and when i got it the Air conditioning was not working i had to replace the condenser and the 2 Radiator fans but after i replaced them i still had an issue where the fans would only sometimes come on when i power the A/C on, there was no pattern or anything, sometimes they would come on and sometimes not, didn't really bother me as i did not sit in traffic as much and winter was close, but now summer is upon us and a new problem has started where the Compressor would switch off even after a brief stop or even after slowing down, then i have to switch off the A/C and switch it back on again before it starts working again, also the fans not always switching on is issue is also still present.

There anybody that can maybe advise as to where to start looking for the issue?

Thank you in advance

Start by going to reputable aircon shop that can draw a vacuum in the system and then fill the correct amount of gas by weight.
See if that solves the problem. Incorect amount of gas in the system can make it overheat or can cool too much which kicks the system out based on pressure switches.
You can also monitor it in vagcom and see what it does.
