Hi Everyone,
I am from Maseru, Lesotho and new in the forum, thanks for welcoming me. I have a polo 1.4 tdi which is at a mechanic now I drove for a day and the parked, after about 30 mins when I started it the engine started to shake very bad. There is no smoke coming out at exhaust but idling is not constant...goes po-porr...po-porr. Took it for diagnosis and says short curcuit/injector valve not opening for cylinder 1. Took injector to Pretoria to be checked and they said its fine. Put it again back..drove for a day and snap back again. diagnosis read same thing again. What could be happening here? by the way, revs are okay

check or replace the wiring harnass in the head leading to the injectors. Common issue on them.

Okay, will do so. Can also the injector pump on the right side of the engine cause this issue?

no the pump just makes pressure and the injectors are fired electrically. If the other 2 are working the pump is fine.

go read this to get a better understanding of the system

I am back, i cleaned the harness with Q20 and it didn't change. However, we found that the injector seal was the one with issues. There is no shaking now, we just did a small fix on the seal so I still need to get a new one with o-rings (machenic recommended). So all in all the engine runs perfectly apart from now I hear a qha qha qha sound when I drive...but its not there whn i rev engine on neutral or car idling...only whn i drive
