Polo 1.2 Bluemotion EGR removal/deactivation and DPF removal

Post by lukesky »

Which is a good place in cape town to do the above work and what are the other options with regards to the egr value and DPF removal or deactivation?

Also I noticed that the stop/start function does not work any work more, when the car went for a diagnostic the only apparent issue was egr value?

Say thanks that the stop start does not work. Those things just eat starters batteries and flywheels.

My Polo 1.2 TDI 2012 DPF has been removed by a uninformed mechanic. Now I have fault codes: P2463 and P2563. Coil light, exhaust light and engine light on with limp mode permanently.

The turbo was repaired before the DPF was removed.

Is the P2563 FAULT code caused by the DPF that was removed? There isn't vacuum on the actuator. The N75 valve has been replaced. Still looks like the N75 is not switching on. If I put vacuum manually on the turbo actuator then the actuator moves.

Sigh. Any ideas? Any one with a similar problem?

You cannot simply remove the DPF without coding out the DPF in the ECU. Get the DPF coded out and your error lights will go away.

Hi, yes I know the ECU has to be remapped, but the ECU is a Delphi DCM3.7. According to everyone I asked, can't be remapped.

I assume any type of flashing is not possible with the VAG Delphi DCM3.7.

So... any ideas?

Even bench flash. ECU can be read but not written. RSA digitial signature for checksum cannot be calculated or bypassed as yet.

The unichip just lies to the original ECU to make it read values that's not true. So in theory if they say they can do it I will believe them. But with my third car that has a unichip I can't say I'm a fan, many says it's just not set correctly but they have all been done at dastek them self's and Ive never been 100% happy with the results.

The 1.2 tdis no one locally can do them.

We do have however have now a solution for dpf off and egr off on those cars , but its extremely expensive and the ecu needs to be sent overseas .

SAC fitted the Unichip. The DPF error went away for a while. Came back after +-100km. They said it could come back, and that some settings/values have to be changed.

Unfortunately, the P2563 error is NOT caused by the DPF. So my car is still in limp mode. The turbo was repaired. It seems the actuator on the turbo is faulty, or the sensor is, or something.

They don't sell the actuator separately, and I don't know how to test the actuator sensor. Any ideas?

Good Morning , I need some advise please , My Polo yesterday had no problems but today the fuel filter light came on and for about 20km then suddenly the Catalytic converter light came on with a flashing Glow plug light the car is 500km away from the next service date and the place where I service my car said this is because its due for service that is why those lights came on , problems I experience is loss in boost ( power )

I hope its not serious or do I need to take it in ASAP ?

What does a fuel filter light look like?

Sounds serious. Car under warranty?

Maybe its the MIL light?

No boost possibly means limp mode. Take it in asap. Car goes into limp mode to avoid further damage.

Hopefully it is not your DPF.

For further assistance, perhaps post your own thread as your issue has nothing to do with this thread where the original poster is trying to get help on his issue.
