Polo 1.2 Tdi Issues

Post by StewPit »

So last week my aunt's car started giving kak, went into limp mode and took it into VW.

They are saying its the Diesel particulate filter and that it will cost 21k to fix, the part number they gave me V 6R0 254 700QX.

Can anyone confirm if that insane amount is correct and if that is the correct part number ? Sounds like these ous are fekt in the head.

Thanks guys

Which ous are these, VW or the people buying VW's?

As a side note, I heard these 1.2tdi polo's do not like driving short distances.

My car was at VW for service and the cat error that was flashing and engine light was on. they phone me and said the cat needs to be replaced at R37k as my car was out of warrenty (by two weeks). I took it to two other guy's and they both said that it was the DPF and that the only option cheaper was to remove it from the car and ECU but when I told the last guy to proceed he said that they cannot do it anymore. This was beginning of March I have being driving the car like that since then but the cars is getting worse with power

1.2 tdi bluemotion uses delphi ecu. Very difficult to flash.

So after looking around and unable to get anyone that could assist me I started to play around on the car. I took some clean green mix with thinners a poured it into the dpf but issues was still there. I took the car to someone else for a check and we found that the actuator on the turbo was not working correctly. We started to test the vacuum and found that the N75 valve was faulty I bought one from a scrap yard fitted it and guess what the car is 100% all power back and no more charismas lights on dashboard. I will be phoning VW Hatfield today to give them a peace of mind about there diagnostic skills.
