2l TDi Passat electronic handbrake

Post by Wazza »

Hi Guys

So last week the electronic handbrake on the passat decides its had enough and locks itself in the on position needless to say flat bed trucks and VW roadside assist were needed

Anyway R5500 later vw replaced some motor that operates the handbrake

And then a pleasant suprise is they replaced the injectors under some campaign so it wasn't all bad and wow the car is way better now with the new injectors

2 questions

Is it possible to service and maintain this motor on the handbrake to ensure it has a happy long life

And does anybody have more info on this injector campaign are the injectors bigger or something cos the car flies now

Thee is not much one can do for the motors on the handbrake.
I recall that there was something on the injectots for a batch of passats.got to go look for it to see why they were replacing them.

Thanks Morne

Would be interested to know about the injectors

I believe the ebrake failures are very common on VW and Audi
