Goeiemore Goeiemore,
What are your opinions regarding the reliability and durability of the 3 options currently available in the Kombi - Caravelle range?
The 75kw will probably be so "lam in die gat" with a load of passengers?
The 103kw seems like a good compromise?
The BiTDI - I am weary of turbos breaking down on me and costing a fortune, now having 2 turbo's sounds like double the possiblility of trouble?
Which of the above engines are the most reliable en will cost the least to run? Are injectors a real concern? I understand they cost close to R10k each...?
Or should I rather forget about diesel and look for a 3.2 V6 petrol?
Your opinions, knowledge and experience will be much appreciated!
Dankie!
Broodblik

Well it is up to you and what you want and what you are going to use it for.
The injectors last unless they had to be removed and are man handled .
Just for info the PD injectors are +- R11400 and the Common rail injectors are +- R14300 incl .
It is like not wanting to buy a car because it may break down ,its a bit from this and bit from that.
You are going to use it ,so go for a test drive in all 3 and then make up your mind.
Hope it helps.

Re: Kombi 2L TDI: 75kw - 103kw - 132kw BiTDI?
The 75 kw and 103 kw seem to have the same motor and different software. I am not quite certain about this though.
Different gearbox 103kw had a 6 speed.
Drove a 75kw it pulls easily without a load at City driving speeds. Not sure about loaded.
Apparently the bi turbo model has more lag at the very bottom but then make up for it later.
