RE: Polo 6R - Intake ++

Post by Freekst@ »

Hey Guys,

couldn't stay away from the diesel torque for too long... got myself a 6R 1.6 TDi. :troll:

After owning a 9n3 and knowing that the PD160+Filter did make a difference, being looking for a similar solution for the 6R???
Has anyone done anything???

Under warranty so leave it stock, It won't out weigh the 1-2hp gain you won't even feel on the road compared to the turbo blowing and you having to fork out because the warranty is void.

How big is the pipe from the Turbo inlet to the Airbox? The Polo's and Cupra's have a CRAPPY flattened one...fitting a 63mm mandrel bend pipe will improve boost and spool...

Hmm... thats an idea... will take a pic...

the intake looks way too small, and I know on the 9n3 the PD160 made a difference...

It won't fit. The TDI has some the battery between the airbox and the light.

Okay let me get this straight, you say you want an intake, but now you ask for a downpipe? What do you want? Intake? Or downpipe?

The original GTI intake is exactly the same size as the TDI intake AFAIK. Any aftermarket intake made for the GTI wont fit the TDI as the TDI's battery is in the engine bay right where the GTI's one is not.

:noob: Sorry... my bad, made a mistake there... looking for the orig intake from PGTI... if someone has replaced with aftermarket intake...
