Thanks Sean,

Yeah I think we going to see how things go at around 1.6 bar boost.

If I may ask for your input regarding boost spikes - what factors play a roll in the size of the spikes - is there a way of minimising the size of the spikes?

No I am not Waynemods - LOL - just would like to understand the whole remapping as a whole (attach a link if its easier to read something)

Thanks

cranking up the boost doesn't always make power. fueling is more important, I had a 1.6bar map spiking to 1.7bar and made 135kw. ive seen guys running 1.8bar maps but still can't break into 14's. Boost is important but not everything. their is alot more to consider and fine tune to utilise the boost factor correctly.

I did not refer to boost as 'everything' - was just seeing what kind of pressure the guys in JHB are running

What's the maximum "safe" level that i can increase the boost on my turbo? I'm currently running at 1.58 bar. Would 1.8 bar be too much?

All advice and suggestions welcome
Hi bud.
I have a AFN 1.9tdi but installed manual pump on it.

Im getting close to 3.5bar boost but i have to check the egt when it starts boosting.

doubt this as still no proof of this turbo doing 3.5 bar damn. eve. with pistons i would have rather upgraded the rods first as thats gone snap first under that load. also how is the headgasket holding that pressure (stock) boltd changed to arp but ya that would be something else.
