Re: Maximum allowable boost on the VNT1749VA
Thanks Sean,
Yeah I think we going to see how things go at around 1.6 bar boost.
If I may ask for your input regarding boost spikes - what factors play a roll in the size of the spikes - is there a way of minimising the size of the spikes?
No I am not Waynemods - LOL - just would like to understand the whole remapping as a whole (attach a link if its easier to read something)
Thanks

Re: Maximum allowable boost on the VNT1749VA
cranking up the boost doesn't always make power. fueling is more important, I had a 1.6bar map spiking to 1.7bar and made 135kw. ive seen guys running 1.8bar maps but still can't break into 14's. Boost is important but not everything. their is alot more to consider and fine tune to utilise the boost factor correctly.poloplayaWP wrote:x2 I also want to know.J-10-M wrote:What boost do the guys generally run without FMIC

I did not refer to boost as 'everything' - was just seeing what kind of pressure the guys in JHB are running

Yes buddy..
Its on original rods only piston upgrades.. And injectors.
Also changed manifolds to get rid of the extreme heat with the egt

Re: Maximum allowable boost on the VNT1749VA
doubt this as still no proof of this turbo doing 3.5 bar damn. eve. with pistons i would have rather upgraded the rods first as thats gone snap first under that load. also how is the headgasket holding that pressure (stock) boltd changed to arp but ya that would be something else.
