Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
Hhhhhmmmm ok cool. Who build you a custom manifold then how will you convert it from electronic to pheumatic actuator.? Then there is the small issue of a tune. I'm sure Trevor could do it but from what I know about the guy is that he hasn't played around with thes turbos on the 1.9 ASZ motor. Cool so he will need time with the car to get the map perfect and that could come down to about a week. Well if you know someone that can build a nice custom manifold then I would render his services needed. I have an idea that I want to try first with a standard manifold but time is not my friend. With that turbo and a perfect tune you should see numbers of 200-220hp depending on the tune mainly.
And the GTB22/60VK comes off all the 3.0L TDI's

Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
The mk4 is ALH not ASZ(not sure what the difference is but anyway)
Well if that turbo is locally available I dont see why not. And there is a way to make it vacuum controllable instead of electronic...not sure who can do it though.
Ive been thinking though, I will rather get a sproline turbo, map that to about 1.6bar and leave it. I dont really want to change nozzles and injection pumps etc.
Oh and with supporting mods the GTB2260vk can make about 250hp

At 1.6 bar on the sportline turbo you will see roughly 150HP and you will need to have a modified manifold.Dirty Harry wrote:The mk4 is ALH not ASZ(not sure what the difference is but anyway)

why modify the manifold?
The turbo outlet pipe is different other then that its bolt on .

Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
Why?its 8valve?you could even bolt it on to a damn AGG if you wanted to. The turbo and manifold are cast in one with most of the OEM turbos. Well Im sure the 150HP I'll get is better than the 100HP I have at the moment.

Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
Why would 150hp be far fetched?what do the sportlines make at about 1.6bar?

Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
It's a totally different motor to the sportlines. You will easily spend 20k to reach 150hpDirty Harry wrote:Why would 150hp be far fetched?what do the sportlines make at about 1.6bar?
Sell and buy a sportline and only software will be needed then.

Re: Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra Turbo help
Stock ALH should make around 110-115hp and with software I do not see why it could not make 135-140 HP, but 150-160hp is probably not going to happen even with S/L turbo
