Mk1 2005 Fan stopped working
Hi Guys Radiator fan on my Mk1 2005 stopped working and is now overheating. I've changed the Thermostat and switch under the battery still nothing,kindly assist.

Have you checked the fan itself?
Not familiar with the the 2005 mk1 fan, but if it's anything like the MK2 fan, it has three pins, two positive for two different speeds (that come on at different temperature points), and a negative, so you can use a 12V battery or power source and some wire to check that the fan is working. I'm certainly no expert but I would assume the fan switch should be on the radiator to pick up the temperature of the radiator water, so I'm not sure what the switch under the battery would do?

Hi there thanks for the advice you were right it wasn't the fan switched actually the return pipe from radiator that was blocked,once I replaced it the temperature was back to normal.
