Performance exhaust
Hi, I recently bought a 2018 Polo Vivo 1.4 and i want it to sound and perform better. I'm looking at a performance exhaust system but i dont know how much power it would add to the car. Currently 63kw. I'm such a beginner. Please help

Re: Performance exhaust
U might want to speak to ur dealership first. Any modifications can void ur warranty

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on

Re: Performance exhaust
The only add on you will probably get its some noise and you will loose about 10kw - so you likely to be in the same performance range as an i10 just kiddingMichielg10 wrote:Hi, I recently bought a 2018 Polo Vivo 1.4 and i want it to sound and perform better. My honest opinion is to enjoy the car as it is, maybe some cosmetic mods
Enjoy the new car

Re: Performance exhaust
Yes it will sound faster but actually wont be faster.
The other problem is also(if you can live with it) is once a performance exhaust is installed on a small motor with short ratio's , cruising at 120 will sound like you doing 200.

Around suburbs and that it is cool. I loved the sound of my free flow box!!
Highway driving is another story, the drone is hectic.

A very small Cowley freeflow box at the back kills the highway drone.

Re: Performance exhaust
i.e. A silencer at the back instead of a resonator will stop drone.billionairebum wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 10:38 ammorribiscuit wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 9:09 pm+1ICE King wrote:Yes it will sound faster but actually wont be faster.

Resonator - Round - Straight through pipe
Silencer - Oval/Square - Enter and exit pipes are offset, creating a chamber for further silence

Re: Performance exhaust
I agree with what has been said above.
I used to own a Corsa lite 1.4 with 65KW.
I did a full powerflow exhaust, with 4-2-1 headers and filter.
I gained a small amount of power like maybe 5kw. The cost did not outweigh the performance. After a while it was irritating to be honest.
If you want a faster car, rather sell the polo and buy something second hand with a Turbo. Then money spent will deliver the performance.
