I think my friend got scammed or is realy confused VWclub SA

Okay, now today I got a message from a friend who sent me the following:
"Ek het 10 dae terug vir VWClub SA R300 betaal vir membership en nog geen conformation of package ontvang nie. Hulle respond ook nie op my emails nie en hulle het geen telefoon nommer nie, wat stel jy voor?"
Now he is stating that he payed R300 membership fee for VWClub SA?
Is that for something else that I am not aware of, did he just transfer R300 to someone for nothing?
Because membership on this forum is free and I am confused?
Does anyone maybe have any ideas what he is talking about?

There is a difference between being a member on the forum and a member of the VWCLUB. Names is dark blue are paid up members, light blue are just board/forum members.

Its a scam.... everyone else pays in peanuts. They use that to pay the comm members.

The comm have a lot of work to do while still doing their own dayjobs so sometimes things don't happen overnight. He hasn't been scammed and he will receive his membership pack with his goodies and get access to the member features of the forum soon enough. If it takes too long, post in the membership queries.

If he could mail his proof of payment to gspot@vwclub.co.za and membership@vwclub.co.za then someone might see it. I certainly havent seen anything come through on admin.

Alternatively, he could pm the membership guys, Dirty Harry, to find out whats happened.

please ask your friend to supply his details i.e. the membership form that is filled out with all details and proof of payment so we can look it up.
