We haven't had any issues before so we're confident that the 26th is the set date. We are currently just organising the ambulance and the authorisation from the relevant parties. An events-thread will be up shortly

I doubt a bike will be allowed. If you go off the edge you will die in a bike unlike in a car where you still have a chance.

Anyway, up to comm...

Ryan, I would be very cautious about bringing a bike. The road is not of the best surface, it's not very well traveled, and gets dusty. I wouldn't. We can discuss in a comm meeting and revert back if you like. As with all events, it's managed risk. We're comfortable with cars, but I don't know the risks for bikes, therefore would be difficult for me to manage and/or give you a thumbs up.

I agree, the road is way too dusty especially turn 1 and 2. I would not risk it with 2 wheels and cold tyres.

Cool stuff Comm :hi:

As per my PM reply to Kibim: "I will be there on the bike, but on second thought, I will rather not take the chance. This SXV can out accelerate modern 600s to about 140 so the speeds that can be reached on those short stretches would be just short of totally stupid.

I will rather not take the chance that something will go south. I would rather go do some more track days at Big Z or Kyalami where it will be way safer than some nasty rocks and hectic hills to roll down.

Will support the event anyways "

Better safe than sorry
