The original SA Vdub Camp Festival is the annual event for VAG enthusiasts.
This pilgrimage attracts thousands of people who love modified cars, exceptional entertainment and the outdoor lifestyle.
Vdub Camp Fest is a two day event that is a highlight on the social and motorsport calendar, and benchmark for other car shows in Africa.

Supporters and lovers of the Vdub scene have a choice of visiting for a day (either Sat 1st Feb or Sun 2ndFeb).
Or even better yet spend the entire weekend with fellow Vdub enthusiasts in your preference of camping or accommodation.
This year the organizers had the arduous task of selecting a bigger venue for the esteemed and growing Festival. After a gruelling selection process, it is a "Town Take Over Weekend" of Vanderbijlpark that has been chosen as most suitable for the 2014 event. The enormous trio of Abrahamsrust Resort, Riverside Sun and Emerald casino will host the show and accommodation respectively.
The Cum Laude organizers have signed up the renowned AZ Mabathu group, as well as Cardamon Protection Services as its event safety & security provider. The supporters' safety is a priory at this event and the change of service providers illustrates implementation of many logistical improvements at the festival.
The 2014 edition brings a brand new ticketing solution via Quicket to streamline general ticketing and visitor traffic congestion over the weekend.
The event itself will feature the recognized Show & Shine competition to establish the best cars for the year. For the first time in Africa, the 2014 Festival will feature the state of the art internationally distinguished E-Judging platform for the Show & Shine competition. This system is currently exclusive to top UK and USA events.
The show also features the Kimos Custom Sound-off that will feature new classes, as well as the IASCA dyno to put the strongest engines head to head.
There are various sponsored live demos and displays, unveiling of the latest industry products, and novel fest activities the likes of the pigeonholed Low Limbo. A range of Motorsport partners have exciting promotions planned for supporters.
Furthermore the latest eye candy on the vdub market will be strutted by Revo, Max My Ride, Kimos Customs, Swagger Lifestyle, Check Koast and The Wheel Shop displays.
Another flagship attraction is the Wolfsburg car which will be given away to one lucky supporter, as well as the Amsterdam car (converted DJ box) at the afterparty. Several new undisclosed surprizes are in the pipeline.
Gates open at 7am daily.
Drivers who are not sure of the route have an option of joining some of the convoys we have planned from Durban, PE, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Vereeniging. Full details to be posted shortly.

Scirocco Visitors Please Note:
Scirocco VIP residents at Riverside Hotel can be transported to and from the show grounds via ferry boat.
Emerald Casino bookings are compulsory for two nights stay over.
All Scirocco VIP accommodation are minimum 3 star luxury graded units. This is the ideal option for visitors who prefer some quiet space from the night-time buzz near the show afterparty area.
Scirocco tickets entitle visitors 24 hour access to the show or afterparty, with a separate entry/ exit gate.
Every general or VIP ticket holder in 2014 stands a chance of winning the Wolfsburg car! No additional or separate ticket purchase is required.
(Notwithstanding the above, patrons can buy Wolfsburg Chrome Plus tickets additionally should they wish to increase chances of winning the car and/or showing more support for our annual charity initiative toward the orphanages).
Please note that ticket prices listed are per person/ per night. It is policy from the related establishments that 4 sleepers require 4 tickets, and 6 sleepers require 6 tickets to secure bookings. A supporter may therefore not book a 4 sleeper unit with only 1, 2 or 3 tickets. Full capacity for hotel rooms or chalets must be purchased even though all the beds in a unit are not occupied.
All accommodation is self-catering and there are stores on site for general supplies. Food vendors include halaal.
There are ATMs on site for visitor perusal.
The venue is fully licensed to sell refreshments; alcoholic beverages will not be allowed to be brought in from outside the resort. (The organizers have kept the pricing in the venue bars affordable and are stocking a wide variety of products).
Take note that for camping, you need a 3 pin caravan/campers plug if you require power supply to your tent. Also note that there are 200 sites with power, and 300 sites without power points. Camp sites cannot be reserved, please ensure that you arrive early to select your preference if needed.
Foods next year will be provided by the Gourmet Exposure team, who will operate a full food court with an assortment of branded franchise options.
All entry tickets will be scanned at our gate box office (ensure that you do not buy tickets off the street).

Full R.O.A.R is applicable for any unruly behaviour and no weapons/ dangerous objects will be allowed to enter. We urge all patrons not to indulge in any illegal substances and we will have provincial authorities and SAPS on site to deal with transgressors.
