Not being sensitive just saying it as it is
Disagree - I think you are trying to make something where isn't something! Don't come and put words in my mouth and then expect me not to defend myself. I never once said the show was not worth going to, nor did I discourage anyone from going. All I did was say that I wasn't going, and for various reasons wasn't arranging anything from the VW Club's side of things.

If my opinion that the cars looked the same as the ones from the Autostyle show - or that I think it is crazy that almost as many trophies were given out as cars that entered - somehow offends you, well to be honest, that is not my problem. It is my opinion. Deal with it.

You need to remember that not everyone enjoys every type of event, the same style of modding etc etc and that this is a public forum and we are all entitled to our opinions. For some reason you seem to feel that because I have a role to fulfill in terms of planning events etc, that I am not allowed an opinion, or allowed to express it.

Whatever bud!
Exactly public forum public club arrange events for everyone not just what you interested in. Try it you might like it.

If you dont like then shut the hell up. You directly chirped the guy when you said "So what, you enter your car and get a trophy?"

Mmmmkay.... I must organize an event that not just I like ....you say.

Well I organized the dub day and 211 other people seemed to enjoy that, a lot!
I organized our attendance at the Autostyle show (which seemingly drew the same kinda crowd as the show at PNP,albeit on larger scale)
I organized breakfast runs, tracks days, charity events, photo shoots, meet and greets, dyno days etc all with excellent turnout

I am struggling to see what event you want me to organize that I haven't yet done. Possibly a drag day??? Find me a strip where we can do this legally and we can do it bud. Possibly a boot jol in Chatz - rhythm beat me to it

So before you tell me to shut the hell up and try and organize an event that not just I enjoy, tell me what event needs to be planned to make YOU happy, cos you don't seem to be happy with anything I have done so far, and honestly speaking, are the only person who has expressed any form of dissatisfaction with my event planning.

They turn down kzn motor racing at the end of last year so i doubt it but worth a try, the worst they can say is no.

You should have given your comments to the owners at the show. I am sure that would have got the cops there.

Please refrain from posting stuff like this on the forum. Remember that the club will not condone any sort of illegal activities, especially racing on the streets.

For starters, this Ford and Vdub day is NOT a VWCSA / VWCSA KZN event, so go if you want, clip your toenails if its not your thing. The KZN comm have other events planned for the month. You're welcome to go to both.

As it's not a VWCSA event, i'm moving this topic to the correct place, NON VWCSA events.
