Post by bru-tom »

Just got a mk5 gti and would like to find out what you guys use to keep the leather looking tops?

the seats are mint and would like to keep them that way.

what products do you recommend and to keep the factory matt look?

I wipe my seats down with a warm damp soft microfibre cloth followed by the BMW leather care conditioner :driving: it's around R300 a bottle which lasts me a year

When I still had my Audi, used a damp microfiber towel, in warm water with the suds of a normal white bar of Dove soap.

Cleans and moisturizes.

Followed by Collinite leather treatment.

Thanks guys

Appreciate the comments. So It’s a given that one uses a damp cloth first with some mild dove soap or without…

Issue is, which treatment to use do they both leave the natural matt finish after it soaks in?

So far the BMW leather care conditioner leaves that matte finish, I'll get pics of mine.
