Hi
Thought I will share my go at detailing. Bought the car last year and previous owner didn't take the best care. I managed to get myself a Meguiars DA. Then grabbed a few products from Crazy Detailer. Thanks Neil!
Products used-
Meguiars Gold Car shampoo
Meguiars quick Detailer Spray and claybar
Menzerna HC400
DNA Sealant
DNA iron x remover
DNA leather kit
Started at 630am. Sprayed car with iron remover. Then rinsed off after 5 min. Washed with 2 bucket method using Car shampoo and rinsed off. By this time, it was getting hot so I decided to continue the rest in the garage. Clayed the car.Taped off plastic parts. Then started the compunding with an orange pad and Menzerna. Lovely product and doesn't leave that much residue. I managed to get the swirls out but some stubborn and deeper scratches remained. I tried doing a few times more on those spots but didn't remove totally. Much better now though. The B pillars came out fantastic with 2 passes only. My first time using a sealant and was simple to apply and buff. Made the color pop a bit more. The outside alone took me almost 10 hours. I then moved on to the interior. Seats were given a good scrub with a soft brush and leather cleaner. Results were amazing. Did the dash and steering with same solution. Then applied the balm. This entire process was around 13 hours. Was exhausted and frustrated at the same time. This is a kak graaf but results were satisfying!Enjoy the pics!

Well done, great outcome. I recommend hitting the car with iron-x after removing all surface dirt with a wash. You end up using way less product this way.
Detailing takes very long! My DA and package also arriving soon and I will pretty much be doing the same to my VW Golf 5 GTI.

Thanks man. Planning to do my wife's 2007 Astra in the coming weeks. Original owner with only 98000km.hasn't touched polish yet. Results should be amazing.kingr wrote:Well done, great outcome. Car looks amazing. Looks like you had great success (say that in Bhorat's accent) in getting rid of the marks on the B pillar.
