That blue tape you guys use to tape corners and raises - where do you find it?.
Or is regular masking tape OK? That stuff seems to come off clean even after being on a car for a while where masking tape I know does not.
I suspect it must be the same stuff the guys use for like the dubrun tape up?.

Painters tape - it's definitely not the same as your normal masking tape.

3m also makes some (green)

You should be able to pick up at a Builders Warehouse but I typically use this stuff http://www.auto-dna.co.za/product/carpr ... ape-15-mm/ - comes in 3 different widths and I tend to use all 3, but the middle size is probably the best all rounder if you are only looking for 1 size.

I popped past Crazy detailer today and part of the stuff I got was that. They had a 15mm one.
But before you blinked R1000 is gone and it was like the bare basics.

Menzerna 3in 1
DNA Detail clay
DNA detail spray
DNA butter Wax
Mothers water spot remover (for my touraeg that has marks all over the glass)
and the painters tape.
and that was a quick R1200. Got a nice discount for VW Club and a free maxi suds.
Glad they are open on a sunday.
Service and advice was excellent.

It's real bad, but once the supplies are in, it's not too expensive to restock as it will last long!

You should have added some Iron remover and a nice wash mitt and drying towel to that list.

Amstel that stuff will have to come at month end maybe. Want to get a foam cannon and then I'll buy some proper wash goodies. Bought a bundle of microfibre towels and by all accounts that should do fine for drying. Now to find time to get stuck into that s6.
It is a BIG car.

Glad you popped past and was sorted. I think Neil was at the store on Sunday.

Tips on the water spot remover:
Apply a little product to a microfiber applicator or towel and work the product in. Put a bit of passion behind the pad. Most people remove the product immediately, but I've found a bit of success by leaving it cure on the surface to let the chemical break down the stains. You may need to repeat the steps depending on how severe the damage is.

Looking forward to a progress write-up from touRag to touRad

You do know now that it would have worked you cheaper to buy the crazy detailer DA polisher than the shield and the extra stuff.

I told the wife I needed to get tyre polish. She almost delivered another baby right on the spot when she saw total spending
