Ford Focus Paint

Post by Rsi huntered »

Hi Guys and Detailers.....

If any of you have done the new Sedan Ford Focus specifically its looks like a silver/grey with like stinsiles in the paint work    what a winner of a paint colour.....

Please post that detail here..... went of the ford site but it doesn't specify the colour name

Cant explain it but was parked next to this car now at the Robot and when the sun reflected on this car that paint looked really really good....... with a proper detail that car will look even better....

Hoping one of you guys have done one of this

I haven't done one.... but suspect you are referring to one of the following colors?

Lunar Sky
Moondust silver
Tectonic silver

Also, WTF is a stinsile?

Them sparkles be the metallic flake in the paint and you will often here detailers talking about 'making the flake pop'

Those are pearls, as opposed to a metallic flake.

Metallics can be seen when looking close at paint, whereas pearls are only visible in light. Pearls tend to give a grey looking spec in the paint in poor lighting
