So just a quick question?

I got one of these as a gift with some polish ect



are they any good at polishing cars and how does one use it...? (Lawrence help please)

i see this polisher doesnt spin but vibrates very quickly or something like that.

i aint looking at detailing cars but mearly polishing my car to a nice shine? is this good for just basic polish?

Should be good for waxing
But doesnt have enough power to do paint correction

Ja i did the bonnet and roof and the car was nice and shiny afterwards but there are some small scratches and it doesnt take that out...?

What product did you use to try and take the scratches out?

From my knowledge that thing is pretty useless, however I could be mistaken. Perhaps LAwrence or Lambchop can elaborate?

I would tho that polish away. go get yourself some decent stuff. lol

i use a polisher like that but its not for paint correction but but is nice say some swirl marks out which is what i have achieved on my car, Tiaans S3 and Vdubcaddys Caddy. and is nice to apply was with. but i do not like that shield ****.

I might have used it wrong, but I could not polish using Meguairs, instead it left a greasy mask of polish all over the area required, had to wipe it off and revert to manual polishing...the polishing mats are also useless and hard to find proper ones...but thats just my experience and may be the cars paint being the problem?

i mainly use Meguairs and i have never had this issue

Was it not a moerse pain in the ass to remove this from the car once applied. I remember i tried one panel with this once... threw it away afterwards.

If I remember right, this tool is only to apply wax\polish and then buff it off.

Try Autoglym Paint renovator on that machine.
Correction is possible in my experience but it takes a very long time to work the polish down.

I had/used this machine years ago on my polo,it did work..but you need a good method and plenty time.

i am of the opinion that we should have a button on our computers which allows us to randomly send a current of no less than 1000 volts through peoples fingertips when they come up with designs like this polisher. it is ironic as the top end one is awesome but the bottome end one does the opposite of what its supposed to do. it will make swirl marks. it will scratch the paint. its rubbish. even the top end one. throw the pads that come with it away and invest in lake country or the likes. the shield polishes are not too bad as they are now copying everything they see. it is a little too runny for my liking but it is fool proof and you have to be a real chop to burn the paint. please just dont apply wax with a machine.

my choice (AGAIN I SAY MY CHOICE) is
Menzerna
followed by ultra violet
followed by colonite concourse wax

read the bottle on the paint renovator.. ots not for the whole car and is for specific areas.. you will strip your entire clear coat off

That polish was applied using the machine and then took it off with it again. the car shined lekker afterwards but ja its for making it shine but not correcting the marks or little scratches. i dont have much but would like to achieve a mirror shine. currently it looks mirrory but a bit blurry

I am a detailer ....Used Autoglym many times.Its fine.
The orbital is not the best ,but with the right method it can work on lightly swirled paint.

Its not diminishing the way Menz is but you will reach a point where it will not be abrasive anymore if that makes sense.I use Paint renovator to polish under the door handles by hand and it works.
For everything else I also use Menz...have the entire range old and new.
