I am also looking for decent handles for my Jetta 2.

Tried the lift type from Volspares but those things break if you even think about lifting them to open the doors.

I wonder if the newer pull type will work for longer than 3 weeks?

Ha ha ha shame.Look guys dont bother getting new ones, its your actual door mechanism.I had endless problems and tryed all types. There is a small mod you can do with a drill and small bolt.I will post it up with pics tomorrow if i can

Yup, mine was the handles that kakked. Mechanisms on doors have been replaced with new ones.

Lever on the inside mechanism on the handle keeps on either bending or breaking off completely...

Oh sorry guys!
First time mine where the actual hadel broke, but i kept replacing them because the mechanism wasnt touching the lever properly.
I have a set of pull type(polo) hadels if any one wants to try them if they work we can talk price, but i couldent get the back ones to fit as they sit about one cm from the acctual door. The fronts fit perfectly

Okay i didnt have time to pull my handels out the door(was fixing a slopel yesterday,if i didnt like them befor...... )
These are pics of the pull type(polo) ones i mention above^.But the idea is the same.
You drill a small hole where the lever touches the mechanism and put in a small bolt, basicly you extend the lever,i have bought handels from midas(dont ever ever) and goldwagen and they both failed, till i did this,no problems since!!
