Hey NR027

The 17's could be the problem, but I doubt it as there are guys in the club that have 17's on their Polo's but I can't remember them saying it affected their performance.

Fanatix has 17's on, ask him

Cheers
Nic

Howzit Nic

thanks for the reply. took the car to VW they said all seems fine
I think that i've just gotten used to the power.
Ps the guy said that the rims could of added some weight on the vehicle

Could possibly be a rolling weight issue, as if there is more weight on the rim of the wheel, it is harder to get it rolling

I think they do have a negative effect. Last wednesday I diced a 2.0 Polo like mine, the guy had an Xhorst, I have a modded airbox. My pull off sucked big time, he got 2 cars ahead. I beat him by 4 cars. He had 17's, I have the standard 15" rims and tyres.
Current: 2005 2.0 Polo

Sound (Work in progress)
- Alpine 9853 HU; iPOD'd via Ai-Net Interface; JBL GTO 6" Splits

Performance (Work in progress)
- BMC Flat Panel Filter; Modified Air intake; removed trumpets; removed CAT

Handling
Eibach 20mm drop

Styling (Work in progress)
- Tinted Windows; VW Raceline gearnob; VW Raceline pedals; GTi Headlights; ABT Grille; Removed 'Polo' & '2.0' badges
