Which Gbox are u running with ur engine?MacMan wrote:The 1.4i injectors with the stock 3 bar FPR will run a 2.0 motor just fine. Just make sure that your ECU has been mapped / chipped for the 2.0 motor.
I am running a stock FFZ gearbox from a 1.4i VeloCiti.frog_in_the_fridge wrote:Which Gbox are u running with ur engine?MacMan wrote:The 1.4i injectors with the stock 3 bar FPR will run a 2.0 motor just fine. Just make sure that your ECU has been mapped / chipped for the 2.0 motor.
Was hoping ud say that. Which starter are u using? When I convert to ADY block from my 1.4 8v block, ill have to change the flywheel and clutch......but will my starter iv got fit on the 210mm flywheel with my FFZ box?MacMan wrote:I am running a stock FFZ gearbox from a 1.4i VeloCiti.frog_in_the_fridge wrote:Which Gbox are u running with ur engine?MacMan wrote:The 1.4i injectors with the stock 3 bar FPR will run a 2.0 motor just fine. I am using a standard VeloCiti starter. So yes your starter will work fine.frog_in_the_fridge wrote:Was hoping ud say that. Which starter are u using? I assume the 1.4 8v flywheel is smaller in dia?
Hows ur daily performance aswell with that Gbox on ur 2.0 engine?
I can live with 211km at this stage....with my 1.4 I cant even get near 190km on a downhill.MacMan wrote:I am using a standard VeloCiti starter. Yes the 1.4 flywheel is probably 200mm.... maybe even 190mm like on the 1.3.
The gears are perfect for normal everyday driving but a bit short for top end stuff. I have seen 211km/h on the GPS, but that was near the 7200rpm limiter in 5th.
That would mean the friction surface of your clutch would be smaller, which would mean more chance of slippage.frog_in_the_fridge wrote:I can live with 211km at this stage....with my 1.4 I cant even get near 190km on a downhill.MacMan wrote:I am using a standard VeloCiti starter. Instead of lightening the flywheel....why dont ppl use the smaller dia flywheels with corresponding clutch and just have them lightened. Im sure ull lose more weight with a lightened smaller flywheel then a 210mm one.
Or dont the bolt holes line up?
