Trust ya'll are well. I'm new to this forum, since I just purchased myself very clean 2004 Jetta MK4 1.6 SR. She's a donkey but I love the car to bits - Really impressive how such an underrated car can be so well equipped.
Anyway since I picked up the vehicle, i've been experiencing two issues.
Firstly, the boot won't open at all. Tried both the key and remote with no luck. Called the dude I bought the car from and he said I should turn the key and hold it to the left for it to open. When I did that all four windows opened, but not the boot.
Then, today I tried disarming the car - and nothing. It beeps when I press arm, so I'm not sure if it is the remote battery or the car battery. The unlock button doesn't work at all, so now I have no access to my car.
I've notified the previous owner and he is due to come see what's going on. In the meantime I would really appreciate any advice given here. Please help.
Nb. - The car has a Polo 9n/Vivo alarm.
