Hey Rob, think you know me by now :)
But for the others I may meet, i go by the name of Brad, some of my other mates jst call me Bos, ie bush, umm ya

I've just recently aquired myself a golf mkII, with the 2E engine  , and weber carb, wildcat branch and freeflow zhorst. Quite abit of work to do on the bugga but shouldn't take too long ;) Done the suspension with new Gabriel Gasrider's all round and razor 40mm springs a couple days after getting the car. This weekend i done abit of a brake upgrade wtih some ventilated disks and ferodo pads, yay i can stop the car now.

Daily drive is my awesome new corsa sport, busting with sound and interior lighting, induction kit.

Also building a '73 Lancia Vulvia 1.3s coupe, engine has a DOHC and twin carb side drafts (draughts..tasty)

erm, you got my email etc already so ya.

Maybe i can buy some of those rims off you rob :) seeing as though i'm sitting with 14' opel corsa mags on my golf

I'm Mike...aka 1point9.

I drive a MK1 Golf, that was originally once a Sonic, built by VWMotorsport and then raced at Aldo Scribante and other tracks. It has a 1.9i engine with Caravelle pistons, 1.8 crank, MP9 injection with Mr Turbo management, stage 3 SAC head with big valves and 300degree cam, 40mm Wildcat branch (wrapped) into 57mm stainless freeflow. Dropped 40mm on Eibach springs and Koni shocks, roll bars front and rear, 15" Velociti Mags sprayed satin black with Yokohama S-drives. Inside is a set of Jetta seats in black and white pleather with Isotta steering, Wintec pedals, Pioneer CD player with Planet Audio 5-channel amp and 2x12" MTX subs. It's one wicked machine...

howzit im Nitin - and im already in robs mailing list - but im just gonna introduce myself here too

ive been using veedubs as my last 4 cars - had a 1988 jetta cli 16v - and when that got smashed i resolved not to buy any fancy cars again - so i landed up with a 1600 fox auto - that was traded in in 1999 with 270000k's on the clock - engine not touched - and i got a 1.6 CITI chico luxline - this was also traded in last month with around 275000k's on the clock and now ive just gotten a polo gti

plans for the gti in terms of performance include a small eibach 35mm drop and koni fsd shocks and then either a frc or revo remap to get around 154/156kw at the flywheel

heres a thread about the progress thats happening in my car

http://www.vwclub.co.za/vwforum/viewtopic.php?t=37484

i dont race much - and ill be keeping the polo as a daily driver but i want it to have some oomph - just like my jetta had - that damn thing once did the down trip (joburg to Durbz in around 3 and half hours - if you dont count the 20 minute sandwhich/fuel stop) - that was in 1992 but i dont drive like that anymore :P :P

Hi everyone,

I'm Matteo (Matt) aka MeTsU.

I'm the P.R.O of the Eastern Cape VW Club. Not for long though, as I'm stepping down - moving to Durbs. :D For the GF and work.

I drive a '92 GTi 2, 2.0 16V, as some of you might know - guess my signature gives it away too. ;)

Look forward to hooking up with you guys there. I'm arriving end of next week. :) Once I've settled in, I'll be sure to make a plan to start hooking up with you guys.

Ciao,

Matt
