Where do you get these products from, and what do they cost compared to Meguiars?

Should you not clay before polish. And if you dont clay then there is no need to polish only wax??

A clay bar helps to clean contamination/dirt from within the clearcoat that cannot be removed through weekly washing such as bugs, tar, sap, etc.

Usually steps when claying are:
Wash (2 bucket method)
Clay (with quick detailer, or clay lube. in 2inx2in portions and never allow clay to fall on the ground!!!)
Rewash (2 bucket method)
Polish (this is for any corrections needed)
Wax (polish and wax is a must after claying because claying removes all protection from the clear coat)

Yip, and it is a whole day thing.

But you can always do a panel or two one weekend and more the next. And you only do this like twice a year.

:hi: Hi Deon

Welcome buddy!

You couldn't have joined at a better time as we have 2 epic events lined up in the coming weeks.

Firstly a Dub Day http://www.vwclub.co.za/phpbb3/viewtopi ... 5&t=134829
And then a breakfast run http://www.vwclub.co.za/phpbb3/viewtopi ... 5&t=134794

I hope we will see you (and any of your mates with VW's, Audi's or SEAT's) at both - if you are keen to come join us, add your name to the list in both posts.

See you soon! :driving:
