Good event Guys,

While i never drove it was pretty fun and funny to marshal. I was at the bottom of that sharp 180 corner (Kangaroo Corner), so when some got it wrong i was running behind to push you up the hill. All i can say is i had an ALMIGHTY workout!

Apologies on my prev post mentioning they were the max karts, i didn't realize he only used those karts for hire on race days, but still the karts you were on looked pretty fun. These karts also made kangaroo corner the ball breaker, cause if you messed up it was a long and VERY slow drive back up to the top, put too much gas going slow and the motor floods and dies.

So well done to all, heard one or 2 guys will be suffering a bit today kissing the tyres through thunderdome and one apparently ended upside down in the tyres by the pits...just glad no one seriously hurt.

Thank you to everyone for coming out and making this event a great success. :hurray:

I am sure that everyone had fun, and if there is anyone who didn't, please let the Comm know so we can fix it next time. That being said, we may consider planning another Karting day later this year, as many guys were eager to go again. So, look out in the events section for that.

Congratulations to the winning team. I'm sure those trophies look awesome on your shelf at home. Remember, that it was all in the name of fun, and not a competitive event, however, it very difficult to remember that when you pair 40 petrol heads with 4 wheels and a motor :driving:

A big thank you to Shiren from Goldwagen Springfield Park for sponsoring the practice session and the awesome trophies (they are not crappy plastic trophies)

It was good to see a lot of non-regular forum users out at this event. Hopefully now that you have seen that the club guys are generally a friendly bunch , we can look forward to seeing you at more events and meets. :hi:

Damn dude I wish you would have come and introduced yourself - I for one was keen to meet the face behind the (forum) name.

I too am glad nobody got hurt, although I imagine even those who never had any off's are still nursing sore shoulders, forearms and ribs  I know I am

I can't imagine it will be too long before we are back there

Agree - was an awesome day out and I think we learnt a few lessons from the day, so the next one will be even better.

Thanks again to Shiren from Goldwagen and thanks to all of you, for without you, there would have been no day. Hopefully know that you have all had a taste of what its like, we can set up another one in the not too distant future (so whatyall doin this weekend huh? :driving: )

Lastly I just want to thank Henry and Rose and their team for ensuring the day ran smoothly, and Burner for well.....just running.... :moon:
