Right so any of you wishing to enjoy the thrill of getting to pedal your car as fast as you wish, in a safe and controlled environment, need to take note of this.... :driving:

Apologies in advance for the poor quality of this...if you want the actual entry form, please email kerrygrant@vodamail.co.za

I mean, if you are not going to be putting your car on the track, are you at least keen on being passenger for a few hot laps?

I think it would be a good idea for any of you coming through to the track but not intending on tracking your cars, to maybe hookup at the Engen by the Pavillion and then convoy through to the track together?

If you can catch a few laps with Rob or Chad in their race cars, you gotta go. It is the most awesome fun ever, and quickly makes you realise the HUGE difference between a street racer and a real race car.

Yeah, helmet, long pants and long sleeve shirt for drivers.

Not 100% sure if passengers need long pants/shirt too, but they definitely need helmets.

it really is a lot of fun dude!

Raymond Donkin wrote:What time do you guys plan on meeting up at Pavillion?
The first session will commence at 09:00 at Hesketh and you guys will need about 45 minutes to get there.... so I suggest you all meet up at 08:00, then drive through and pick up any of the PMB boys at the Engen garage at the New England Road offramp at 08:45 and cruise the 2 or 3km up to the track from there.

In case it's only guys who have not been before, here are some simple directions... if you need more detail, PM me.

Hit the N3 to PMB
Take New England Road offramp
Turn right at robot
Go over bridge and as you start taking left hand corner you will see Engen on your left.
Pull in a meet up with PMB guys (if any), grab chow, drinks, smokes and whatever else you need
Exit Engen, go around traffic circle and up into Hesketh drive
At the top of the climb up Hesketh drive the is a sharpish left, and the road name changes to Murray road
Down the hill, up the other side and the dirt road entrance to the track is on your left.

Let's get a list going for those of you wanting to go up in convoy: Depart Engen Pavillion 08:00

:hi:

The track day has been organized by Mike Grant and Mike Fogg.

Stan Roberts from SR Performance in Pretoria will also be launching his new turbo'd sports car with some demo runs.

Should be a good day's motoring entertainment.

I can't wait  :driving: :troll:
