Thanks bud - that's awesome!

Right now I am waiting for feedback on who can help out with what.

We also desperately need to arrange the building and fitment of the built in cupboards for the boys room (garage) so that we can get some air flowing into that room. Once this has been sorted out, we will arrange for a run through to the home (probably on a Sat or Sun), fire up a skottle or 2 and cook some bacon and egg rolls (or other stuff for the non-bacon eating guys) and spend the day working at the home.

I am hoping that we can set this up for the end of the month, but it is dependent on the support of the forum/club members in terms of being able to secure the materials/skills needed to sort out the cupboards.

What kinds of stuff needs to be done/worked on?

Apart from the cupboards and pool pump.

Might help if we knew specific things then we could volunteer, like painting, gardening etc..

Like I mentioned earlier, the main focus (i.e. our first project) is to get the cupboards in the boys room sorted so that we can move their beds and open the window in there.

As part of fixing up their room, the shower roof needs to be fixed and repainted and so we will need paint, rollers, brushes etc etc, as well as some ceiling board to fix the ceiling. And possibly also give the boys room a coat of paint while we are at it (given that it has been 'damp' in there for ages now).

Then, besides the pool pump there are the kitchen cupboards that need fixing, and then any donations in the form of groceries/toiletries/etc

Ok cool so someone mentioned they donated all the cupboard stuff for the boys room and were able to fit and install it?

Mabye the car wash proceeds can go towards the paint stuff?

We should make a date when this will go down?

A few of the kitchen units are arriving today.
Just waiting for a few more of my customers to make the last couple of units.
Then I can start fitting the hinge, runners and feet.
Still need another week or two.

Hi guys. I spoke to my dad and he gave R200 toward the refurb. project. I am matching that, so the total I have to offer is R400. My SO works for a company that supplies plumbing and hardware to most hardware stores. She can get stuff much cheaper than what you would pay at a store. Let me know what paint brushes and other things are needed and I will check what it will cost.

No problem. The R200 that I'm putting in was suppose to be for my membership but I think sorting out the childrens home is more urgent at the moment.

@ScottiesKJ
- have you been to measure up for the built in cupboards in the boys room yet?
- have you wrapped up the detailing kit raffle - how much moolah did we make?

@Raymond Donkin - any updates on the kitchen items?

Picked up some nice handles from my supplier yesterday.
They hooked me up with a good deal.
Got a few extra so we can use them in the guys room.

Just organized one of my customers to help with the installation.
I can do it but he knows the quicker and easier ways to install the units.
Just have to give him a weeks notice.
