A bikini car wash will be held this coming Sunday, 30 September at Volksie (7 Eddie Place off Syndey Road), starting at 09:00....

The following activities will be taking place:

1. Car Wash - R50 - includes a pre-wash rinse and snow foam, followed by a wheel wash and full exterior wash and dry
2. Raffle - R50 per ticket - prize is a full car detail valued at over R1000.00
3. Boerie rolls and cold drinks will be for sale

We should have a DJ banging out some tunes and overall we expect a really good atmosphere on the day.... you are encouraged to pack a deck chair and to come chill out with everyone and support this worthy cause.

so after being dropped by 3 lots of girls we ended up with a flop on the bikinis !!!!!! But many thanks to all that attended ,helped and supported a worthy cause ...we will count up the monies etc but looks like we were able to raise some cash ......

Just to echo what Rob said, thank you so much to all of you who chipped in to help with the day, be it washing/drying, admin duties etc... and to all of you who bought raffle tickets - Gerald (Mortar on the forum) won the detail by the way - or paid to have your car washed, or dropped a bit of tin on boeries rolls etc...

We are still tallying up the final numbers but we seemed to make a decent amount of money, which will be put to good use at the home.

Right so just an update of the money situation from the car wash.

Costs incurred
Car wash items = R0 thanks to sponsoring of products from Crazy Detailer
Boerewors, rolls, charcoal, coldrinks, serviettes etc etc = R1054.27

Revenue generated
30 cars wash at R50 each = R1500
26 raffle tickets sold for the detail = R1300
Sale of wors rolls/coldrinks = R700

Profit
R2445.37

R354.27 loss on the wors rolls/cooldrinks.....wtf come, come, own up guys
anyways well done to the guys for raising R 2445.73
