Thanks Rob, will do later. I was asking about the prerequisites with regards to:
Should we have motor-sport licenses?
Special tyres?
Any form of additional car safety and stability?
Special clothing?
Helmets?

Make sure you brake pads have sufficient life in them
Empty out any loose crap in your car, including sub box, radio face, stuff in the cubbyhole etc. Once at the track, take your spare wheel / jack etc out
Try not run a full tank of juice - extra weight around the track will not be your friend
Have a decent breakfast + take some food with you + lots to drink
After a session do not leave the handbrake on - rather just leave the car in gear until the brakes have cooled off and keep the bonnet open to vent out hot air.
If there is anyone reading this who is sitting on the fence and trying to decide if they should take their car on the track or not, JUST DO IT.
There will be separate classes where us noobs will be grouped together and the 'pro's will be in their own class. There will be experienced instructors on hand to help you learn the lines, when to brake etc etc.
This really is the most fun you will ever have in your own car.

So as you know I am taking the polo around the track and as such have to be there early. I will therefore not be able to meet with you at the Engen garage for the run up to the track.
Someone on the list of people who are meeting there though, needs to put their hand up and head up the run for me - there may be new people who have never been to the track before.

VEry Sad day ...but loads of smiles at the track ...!!!!!!
Personally had a very busy day and didnt get to drive on the track as much as I would have liked to ....but got to drive a few different cars and the highlight was being allowed to peddle the Ex Production Racing 350Z ...Yoh what a blast to drive !!!!!
Thanks to all that came along to enjoy the day !!!!
Had a great time!!! Brought my dad with who use to race Anglias and Capri's in his younger days for fun and he thoroughly enjoyed seeing the older Estcourts, Alfa , Nissan 280z and Renault on track. Not to mention how they kept up with some newer generation cars. I just want to thank some of the Durban guys with the 1 x Red MKI and the 1 x White & 1 x Red MKII golfs (sorry..never got your names) for their fantastic hospitality in providing us with some shade when the days' temperature got a bit sizzling and thanx 4 all the laughs with real entertaining comments. You helped making a good day out a great day out. Also..Thanx to Rob, Lawrence and everyone who organised the event. Just a pity there won't be another one at Hesketh.
