KZN Breakfast Run - 29th

Post by lawrence »

Hi guys

So given that the Gauteng boyz are doing their annual breakfast run on the 29th I though it would be a good idea for us to do the same.

I recently hooked up with one of the guys from Scottburgh and it seems like there are a couple of enthusiastic v-dubbers wanting to get more involved in the club, and as such, thought it would be cool if we did a run down to their neck of the woods for a breakfast run.

They have recommended a spot called Phat Boyz were the chow is good, plus there is plenty parking and a good view etc.
Image

I will be in contact with the manager later today to get my hands on a menu with pricing.

The plan will be for us all to meet at the Nandi Drive Petroport (Southbound) at 08:00. We can then take a leisurely drive through to Phat Boyz in Scottburgh, a trip of about 65km one way.

I would suggest that the guys from Scottburgh drive up to Nandi drive in the morning so that we can all convoy down together.

N.B. The VWCSA Breakfast Run starts from the Nandi Drive Petroport! All other convoys are not being organised, run or are the responsibility of the VWCSA or it's Committee. As we are driving on a public road network with strict laws and regulations, everyone is expected to adhere to these, and neither the VWCSA nor it's committee will be responsible should anyone decide not to obey the laws and regulations of the road. Drivers not obeying the rules of the road will be asked to leave.

If that is what you mean, then the next question is how south is Durban South? Where would you want to meet up? We will more than likely be travelling on the N2 on the way down and could possibly pull off at Higginson highway, swing a left, and then meet up with the guys at the Engen garage there on the left. From there down onto South Coast Road then onto the M4 to join up with the N2 again.

Unless you have any other suggestions.

In all honesty though, I would prefer it if everyone could meet up at Nandi drive as it is always epic travelling in convoy, and hopefully Sixthcore will be able to shoot some more video footage with the GoPro, starting from the initial meet up point all the way through to Scotties...

Are you serious? Is the extra 30kms too much for you to travel?

yes, it doesn't make sense to drive about 35kms north only to turn around and go back down another 35kms to the same point i was originally at 35kms ago.

it's ok for you guys coming from pinetown as you can come down the m13 i think it is.
