Z4 M Roadster - maintenance

Post by Rascal69 »

An old customer of mine needed some assistance with his Z4 M Roadster.

He had collected all his parts within a 6 month period and then dropped off the car with us for 2 weeks while he left the country on business l.

When he had returned to SA , his car was ready for collection.

We had attended to the following things:
1. Fit new bilstein shocks and top mounts all round with new end links, tie rods, rack ends, boots.ect
2. New belts and idler pulley
3. New clutch, fly, pressure plate, pilot bearing, clutch fork, pivot pin.ect
4. Transmission fluid flush
5. Rear main seal
6. Brake fluid flush and bleed
7. Also enabled M Track mode on this car.

Some pics of the work involved...

A few weeks later , the car was back with us. This time the owner wanted to tackle the rest of the suspension, engine mounts and an oil service.

Returned the customers topran engine mounts and sources the OEM ones from the agents because there was a noticeable difference in the two.

thank you sir, The car felt amazing after fitting the new suspension parts... the old shocks, ball joints, bushes and mountings were all worn down and needed replacement due to the age of the parts fitted and the condition of our roads...
