The original LED's work on 2V and the Blue LED's work on 3.5 ~ 4 Volts.
Dash removal I can explain, but the conversion from green to blue, wel, its just to complicated to explain... Do you have experience in electronics?? It's not that I do not want to help a fellow V-dub fan, its just that you can damage your complete cluster... And I don't even want to know what the replacement cost will be...
On the pictures, you can see how small the LED's are, and how thin the copper tracks are... You also going to need a decent soldering iron (at least a temp. regulating solder station)...
Just to give you an idea, I studied 5 years for an Electronic Engineer and still it was tricky for me to do the conversion
But in the end, it was worth it....
