aftermarket 2 ohm midrange speakers?

Hi guys,

I have just purchased a Nissan Pathfinder and it has the Bose sound system and uses 1 and 2 ohm speakers. I'm finding it difficult to find aftermarket
midrange speakers and tweeters with the same impedance. The sound is ok but the tweeters are terrible so I thought I would start with just that.

first off 1or2 ohm speakers ? this i cannot believe unfortunately not on tweeters and not on mids

Lowest impedence on tweeters and mids is 4ohm


Can u perhaps take the specs so we can see What you talking about ?

Also a HU will not be happy at that Impedences Most Amps 4 channel will only go down to 4ohm.

2 channel will still be ok at 2ohm some of them

1 and 2 ohm ratings are only used by Subs and Monoblock amplifiers .

You can go Pro mids Pioneer on amp or deck

Tweeters go Pioneer pro tweeters or at least super tweeters

Other pro tweeters of sa brands are also ok Targa , SS, Ice power, Power bass etc

It all Depends on your budget

Hi bro,

I thought the same thing when I researched it, it has the Bose 10 speaker system with an amp (OEM)
2x tweeter on the dash
2x front door 6x9 mid speakers
2x 6inch rear door speakers
2x 6inch subwoofers (1ohm)
2x tailgate tweeters
1x amp under the front passenger seat (I'm guessing these are for the woofers only)

I will know for sure once I get the time to remove trim and have a look at each speaker. I don't want to remove the entire system, just change the tweeters and maybe the door speakers.

Ok, I managed to remove the dash tweeters and these are 4ohm's. These are 20w normal and 40w max, I will replace it with something equivalent.
