Hi

I want to update the firmware of the Discover Gen 2 as well as the maps. What is the best way to do this? I have connected it to wifi but it doesnt recognise the connection.

I've not seen anyone manage to update the firmware with the new gen radios. Firmware does not seem to be in the wild.

For maps, you can try here --> https://app-connect.volkswagen.com/mapupdates/car/ but some systems rely on a specific SD card and won't work with a generic one.

Struggling to update the maps. I copied into a memory stick. Must I have it unzipped?

Yeah, it’s usually in 7z format, unzip
