Hertz vs Digital Designs

Post by Reds »

Howzit gents
Im running my std polo splits off a aftermarket HU and they sound realy decent (crossed at 100hz) but im lookin for an upgrade. So i need an entry level pair of splits that i can build on at a later stage, im caught between hertz dieci dsk6.5 for R1300 and DD ec6.5 for R800 on special.
Il be keeping the rear std off the deck and mayb amplify the new splits in the front. Mostly looking for SQ/ loud and clear. Is hertz worth the extra 500?
Polo 9n3
DEH-S4050bt HU.
Audiobank pro 4ch. Old spec
I also plan on adding a 10 (infinity kappa) soon as i already have a SS Gladiator 2ch (rated 400rms)
Can anyone shed some light/ offer any advise.
Thanks in advance

I gues il go with the dieci then shot. From what iv been reading on other threads they should'nt be a problem off the HU or on the amp. I remember somebody saying that the tweeters are known to pop off amps tho. Just wanted to confirm since i do wana amplify them.
