Is there anybody that can provide me with some guidance as to obtaining the oval rubber gasket at the base of the roof antenna

Mine has failed due to age and I need to replace it

Any leads within the Pietermaritzburg Area?

I have tried Barons VW but the guy says they don't have any for the Rox (or citi golf for that matter)

Is this gasket from other golf or polo models compatible with the mk1 antenna?

1j0035350 this fits on 9n3 polo and Toyota runx....not sure if it will fit your rox

If all else fails buy the whole antenna from Midas for like R70, remove the gasket and trim as required.

Did that with my wife's corolla when the agents wanted R1400 just for the antenna base with gasket! Works like a charm.

Not sure where in Natal you located but I purchased mine from VW on Edwin Swales. It was R99 (March 2018)

Part Number: 1J0 035 350.

It fits in very easily, was a bit tight so I put it in a cup of boiling water for about a minute before trying to get it on. It sits quite snug now. No issues.

Bought at lindsay Saker Fourways this week.

Had to pay upfront before they ordered it from the factory, took 2 days to arrive.
