Headunit recommendations please.
Hi
I am in the market for a new HU with Bluetooth and hands free calling with a mic. Single DIN or Double Din for a polo 9n3. I used to own a JVC kd-avx33
which did everything I wanted. Any recommendations would be great.
Regards

Bought this for Wolf, fitting the weekend!

Unfortunately not available in SA, blind luck that I found it...
I use Pioneer Bluetooth receivers in my work vehicles: Pioneer MVH-X395BT, the hands free is just just okay nothing to write home about

Re: Headunit recommendations please.
Have this exact one currently. I'm a big fan of it. The touchscreen can be a bit irritating in the corners, especially when scrolling through albums.billionairebum wrote:Anybody seen or used this one?

But the sound quality is good, the brightness works well, it has tons of customisable features.
I haven't used the Android function. This has to be connected via the rear hdmi input, so if you are going to do this, make provisions when installing. This should allow for the use of the mobile apps like JVC Control etc.
The Bluetooth playback is good, call clarity good and volume is hundreds.
My biggest issue with it is that you require a cage almost to fit in the double done gap in the polo, to make it fit snug. Got the cage from autostyle, but because it's such a tight fit, it pushes down on the top of the cd slot, which isn't ideal.
The colour scheme looks good in the polo also.
Hope this helps! Shout if you need any help.
