What size would you recommend for the front and rear doors?
Also, split system or normal speakers?
What is the difference...

Splits are always better, 6 inches is the size!

Yup. 6.5"
Use some soundening while the doorpanel is off. STP is cheap. R150 per sheet should be enough for a door.
