we are receiving 1 Club Sport S of which only 47 vehicles will be coming into SA.

The GTI Clubsport S is an exclusive GTI producing 228kW with configured chassis. It broke the
Nurburgring lap record for the fastest front wheel drive car with a time of 7 min 49.21 seconds. Only 400
units will be built world-wide with 47 being made available for South African customers.
GTI Clubsport S is a 3-door, 2-seater car with the rear seats removed for weight optimisation. The chassis
has been fine-tuned during extensive track testing and has been completely reconfigured. The
production number 001/400 to 400/400 in the interior will be laser etched into the ash tray cover.
Motorsport racing bucket seats and Discover Media navigation will be standard. Below are some key
product characteristics and highlights:
The GTI Clubsport S equipment offering is based on a GTI Clusbport. All 47 units will have Climatronic
aircon as standard. To improve performance the following items have been removed and restricted on
the GTI Clubsport S:
• Rear seat beach has been removed.
• Space saving spare wheel has been substituted with tyre mobility kit.
• Panoramic sunroof will not be available as an optional extra.

That's awesome, in the Top Gear magazine they said that the S will not be coming to RSA, glad that we getting some in.

VW is absolutely smoking their socks. When the rand/ Dollar exchange took a plunge, car prices went up. Now that the rand has strengthened like 20%, the prices haven't come down at all.

Just had a look. R248k for a bloody Base model Polo Comfortline. I paid R40k less 15months ago. 25% increase in such a short time. Madness I tell you.

40 of these are probably ordered by Fouche motors already and being sold at a bar lol.

Look at it this way, you are now able to sell your car for more than you bought it for and the new buyer will still think its a bargain

And suddenly a lot of DSG dragstrip fanboys are drooling over a car with a proper gearbox.
