Thanks so much for the membership! Longtime VW owner [Beetle, 412 Square, Jetta, Passat. I'm a full time musician playing locally and on the road.
As of November I was running a Passat and a Jetta. The '03 Passat GLS Wagon is my work car, a nice spacious ride for gigging with equipment. The 96 Jetta GL 5 speed 2.0 more for personal use but often would use it for work in the case that all I needed to carry was an instrument. In late November a deer took out my Jetta and I fell in love with this Cabrio. It basically replaces the Jetta [Identical drive train: 2.0 ABA/ 5 speed manual], just a lot more fun. I've already taken it out on a regional tour with a large international group where all I carried was my instrument and an overnight bag. It would have been a bit more fun in the summer so I'm looking forward to that!
It's a little harder to find parts here for the Cabrio than for the Jetta so I've got lot's of questions [and some experiences already]. It looks like there is some wisdom here and folks sharing same so here I am and here she is. THANKS!
