Intro
Hi Guys, have been lurking here for a long time. Some of you guys unknowingly are of great assistance in troubleshooting and trying to make progress performance wise, thanks a lot for all that. Some of the information I've received from this forum has helped me tremendously.
My names Kaelen, I reign from KZN, I have a Audi A3 8v 1.8tfsi.
Unfortunately lost most pictures of it but its a rather stock looking Alpine White.
Started modding it in 2015 on the stock is12 turbo, did downpipe with Experience exhaust, then made a PoS intake at home and later did the TBE with the old Roadmaster. After flashing the car with Chip Logic and adding a GFB it made 185wkw with mix and 175wkw on pump.
Was a struggle tracking that car due to the shitty DQ200 gearbox but managed a 13.6 @167km/h at Isithebe.
In 2017, I changed the turbo to the mk7 gti's is20 and added a jb4, after a lot of testing, changing to a better intake, adding meth, flashing the box and stacking the car, I made 250wkw and 420nm on mix.
I drove the car up to JHB and at Tuner Wars round 4 in Tarlton I managed to run a 12.6 @ 176km/h cutting a 1.9 on the 60 foot.
I haven't raced the car since then but had a oil pump failure last year and got a good deal on a 7.5r motor so thats in the car at the moment.
I also fitted a Wavetrac LSD and a DQ250 from the Golf 5 GTI, Cars currently being wired up and if I can get a new ECU in time Im hoping to get it ready for the next Mkhuze event on the 4th and 5th of December.
