Re: Mk2 golf
Paul, what you seek is made from a mysterious material that science cannot quantify or even identify. It is so rare it has never been seen or touched by anyone other than Jesus. This material is known by the name of unobtanium.PaulVerizer wrote:Hi everyone. I want to replace the roof weather strips and all door rubbers on my 1984 mk2 golf. The Mk2 weather strips are made of this stuff and has been since the late 90's when production of the parts ended.
The remaining options available to you are as follows, buy a whole other car that has better ones than what you have and swap them over, then sell that car, or wait a million lifetimes that a cleanish MK2 hits your local used parts dealer and the weather strips are slightly better than what is on your car.
Good luck.
Edit: door seals are no problem, see previous post.
