Afx is it 1.8 or 1.6

[Golf1.8 8v]

Good day gents I am new to golf. I've been planning to run itbs on my citi I was thinking about running a x flow head or 20v head but when I bought the car I was told it's a 1800 block on 1.6i head but when I searched more about the block I found out a afx block is a 1600 block. What head will fit on it the best and allow me to run itbs and what modifications is needed

Afx is a 1600 that came in the Life, Velociti, etc. Iirc you can swap the crank and rods with items off an 1800 to make it an 1800.
